Damontae will have the starlight this season at Reynoldsburg after a successful season at Pickerington North. Damontae isn’t just willing to be physical; he wants to be. He excels in jam and press coverage and can eliminate receivers immediately from plays with his hand usage. Down the field, he shows great ball skills and uses his length to his advantage.

Damontae Butler Damontae Butler 6'1" | 175 lbs | DB/WR Reynoldsburg | 2028 State OH is a starting cornerback for Reynoldsburg High School. Butler is a very tough, physical and feisty cover corner who can play press, jam, and has a physical nature about him. Butler displays good timing with his hands to strike, jolt receivers off their route and disrupt the timing with the QB. He can stay in phase without losing speed. Strong prospect who has picked up a couple of offers recently.

Tough, feisty, very physical cover corner with great ball skills. Very disruptive and very good use-of-hands. Can cover and carry deep routes. Plays both man/zone. Looks loose in the hips, can gain inside leverage and make plays on the ball. Top-notch prospect who has plenty of upside. Transferred from Reynoldsburg.

Damontae had a big debut in our recent 2028 ranking update. He’s a defensive back prospect that college coaches should love. He plays physically. He can play press coverage and has excellent instincts against the run. He’s shown to be a great athlete and has the ability with the ball in his hands. He’s lengthy and can make plays on the ball as a playmaker. He still has room to grow and fill out his frame. Damontae is someone I look at as an X-factor-level player who can get Pickerington North over the regional final hump.
