Crawford has shown a good feel for managing the offense and taking what is available instead of forcing unnecessary throws. He has been able to work underneath when needed while still looking for chances to attack deeper portions of the field. That balance has allowed him to put his offense in manageable situations and gives him a strong base to build from.

Crawford enters the season with an opportunity to show what he can bring to an offense from behind center. He plays with confidence and does a good job keeping the defense honest with his ability to make plays outside of the original design. As he continues to develop as a passer, the next step will be improving his consistency with his reads, ball placement and decision making
