Weitzel showed resilience on the field and never quit trying to make plays, even when the score was out of reach. He finished the game with 128 yards and 2 TDs through the air, while adding another 48 yards on the ground. Weitzel was chased around and hit all night long but kept pulling himself off the ground and back into the huddle. He showed his athleticism with a scramble that extended a play and allowed him to find a teammate in the endzone. He has quick feet and can throw on the run. Without his top playmaker, Weitzel showed he has ability to make plays, but the team was too far outmatched at multiple positions.
