Malcolm is 10-0 on the season, averaging 43 points per game behind an all-class caliber QB and a physical team. Bergan has struggled to regain their championship form behind their super state caliber player, Oklahoma commit, Kade McIntyre Kade McIntyre 6'4" | 195 lbs | ATH Archbishop Bergan | 2023 State NE , who unfortunately did not suit up for the game. The door was wide open for players to stand out and the Clippers did not waste the opportunity, winning in a rout 64-17.
Let’s cover my standouts:
https://twitter.com/hayden_frank2rnFrank was a human highlight reel last Friday. He amassed 311 total yards, 160 passing and 151 rushing, with 5 touchdowns on offense and 10 tackles on defense. Frank’s first two plays of the game were a 55-yard touchdown run and a 64-yard touchdown pass. Frank has a physicality to him that Bergan could not match, with his 6’2″ 195lb frame. He broke tackles, stiff armed players and was faster than anyone on the field. Even on the defensive side, Frank was flying around making plays and laying big hits at any opportunity. Frank is the tone setter for his team, his athleticism can compete at any level and his intensity is contagious. Frank reminds me of Gage Stenger. He was fun to watch and needs more attention as he can help universities at multiple positions.
Highlights
Oliver Day
Oliver Day
Contributing on both sides of the ball, Day’s motor was impressive. On the offensive side, Day made a fantastic catch on a 24-yard-high looping pass from Day and did a tremendous job as an extra blocker on run plays. Defensively it felt like he was involved on near every play. He finished with 9 tackles but was in constant pursuit of the ball all game. Day jumped a route in coverage for an interception, returning it 29 yards. He worked hard every play and wreaked of that physicalness I spoke about with Frank. There is a saying that when your best players are your hardest working, that is when you have a great team. Day is another example of why Malcolm is a great team.
https://twitter.com/Lucas_Ch16316rnThe theme of this article is physicality. Christensen is no exception to the theme. Standing at 6’1″ 215lbs, Christensen had excellent burst through his offensive line and there was no arm tackle that could bring him down. He only toted the rock 4 times but finished with 77 yards and 2 TDs on the night. Good size and speed are a strength, but his footwork allowed him the ability to make sharp cuts into a burst down the field. There maybe a little untapped potential with Christensen as he only averages around 8 carries a game. He could provide a strong return for the Clippers with a little more investment, just in time for tough playoff games.

Colt Reiling
Colt Reiling
Like Day, it seemed like Reiling was involved in most defensive plays. He has a knack for the ball and once he diagnoses a play is like a heat seeking missile. Reiling finished Friday night with 17 tackles which was only 8 shy of Bergan’s team total. What Reiling lacks in size, he makes up for in effort. He does not quit on plays and will run sideline to sideline to make one. Reiling lets his play talk for him and gives the impression that he will not be outworked on the field. Reiling showed up in the biggest game of the year for the Clippers to date and could have a big impact on their state title chances.
https://twitter.com/WeitzelCooperrnThe Knights had a tough night against a physical team that is playing very well. One of their bright spots was Weitzel. Weitzel showed resilience on the field and never quit trying to make plays, even when the score was out of reach. He finished the game with 128 yards and 2 TDs through the air, while adding another 48 yards on the ground. Weitzel was chased around and hit all night long but kept pulling himself off the ground and back into the huddle. He showed his athleticism with a scramble that extended a play and allowed him to find a teammate in the endzone. He has quick feet and can throw on the run. Without his top playmaker, Weitzel showed he has ability to make plays, but the team was too far outmatched at multiple positions.
