The 6’3 200 pounder from from Bergan Catholic is a linebacker that boosts great vision and pursuit angles that surely show off his strong tackling ability in the inside box. In pass coverage, Trent boosts sound range with his footwork and with his length, can disrupt passing lanes with his ball tracking skillsets. You can tell that Trent is a linebacker that has great instincts that is really balanced for what he can bring to a linebacker room at the next-level. I am quite surprised he doesn’t have his first offer yet with his intriguing frame as well, as he looks like a great fit to play on Saturdays.

Bergan Catholic’s Trent Mlnarik Trent Mlnarik 6'1" | 185 lbs | LB/RB Archbishop Bergan | 2027 State NE is a player who will get a nice bump in the rankings now that we have tape from his junior season. Mlnarik is a two-way star for the Knights with upside at RB and LB, but might have the higher ceiling on defense. He ended last season with 60 tackles and 3.5 TFLs. At 6’3″ and 200 pounds, Trent passes the eye test immediately with great bulk and length to his frame, with room to continue growing. He does a great job reading and analyzing the offense before taking an explosive first step, sending him flying downhill. Mlnarik plays with good gap integrity, showing he can quickly fill his lanes and make plays at/behind the LOS. Trent also flashed good speed and lateral burst, especially when going from sideline to sideline. Mlnarik should also be looking at a bigger workload next season after ending his junior year with 141 carries for 765 yards and 15 rushing touchdowns, along with 12 receptions for 162 yards and a receiving touchdown. His size makes him very difficult for defenders to take down on first contact, and he has the burst to go the distance if you don’t bring him down. Potential for a big rise this summer!
