About Cooper

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I command the field with confidence and excitement to make plays with both my arm and legs. Understanding what the Defense is showing me and how I can beat it pumps me up. I am a dual threat and thrive off helping my team succeed. I thrive in a spread offense where I can attack with my arm and legs by getting my playmakers the ball.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am confident and that comes from hardwork, preparation and loving the process of becoming my best. I have learned that composure, motivation and optimism are attributes that allow me to be my best on and off the field. Controlling my emotions is how I perform best and lead my team. I am highly motivated and committed to motivating my team, leading by example. I always try to see the positive

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I have been a 4.0 student and on the national honor society honor roll. I serve in leadership for my church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Being a QB since I was a little kid has helped me develop leadership skills. Humility being patient, smart, strong and fierce... All of this I have learned leading my brothers on the field. Without my brothers on my teams I wouldn't have had the opportunity to learn and develop these qualities. I have learned that being a leader you have to be teachable and willing to take feedback.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I always try to be optimistic and see the positiver side of things. I have experienced challenges and problems, but through these I have learned resilience. I know by focusing on solving issues and problems and not complaining I will lead my family, friends and teammates. This past few years has been really challenging. I have lost family members, and my best friend.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college who will support my academic and athletic goals. I want to be the best I can be for my team, family and future family, and that includes performing at a high level in the gym, classroom and on the field. I want a college who will take my skillset, work ethic and talent and take me to the next level as an athlete and student.

Cooper has good size for the class and has longer legs and limbs, and projects to get to a good overall height. He moves well and is a good athlete. Off-platform throws are easy for him, and he showcases good ball placement. Cooper has a compact delivery and shows good mechanics. He throws a nice ball, and everything is natural from start to finish with him. He is a rhythmic passer who does well knowing when to throw with touch and when to bring added velocity to his throws. He showcased good arm talent and made all the necessary intermediate to deep throws. Effortless thrower with excellent mechanics.
