Cooper wasn’t looking for an easy way out against Lake Travis, running with plenty of determination from the opening quarter to the final whistle. He finished with over 100 rushing yards, making the defense work for every tackle. What I like about Cooper is the way he attacks defenders instead of shying away from contact. He’s willing to lower his pads, fight through traffic, and keep his legs moving to squeeze out extra yards. Even when there isn’t much room to operate, he finds a way to push forward and keep the chains moving.

Cooper has been doing what he does best whenever he gets his opportunity in the backfield, and the numbers are already speaking for themselves. The freshman has recorded eight touchdowns this season and is making the most of his touches when he gets into the game. What makes his early success even more impressive is that he’s already holding multiple college offers, showing that programs are taking notice of his talent.

Cooper’s film stands out because of how naturally he combines speed with patience. He doesn’t just run fast he understands where the play is designed to go and consistently puts himself in the right spots to maximize yardage. His ability to identify and hit open lanes quickly makes him efficient and productive with each touch.

Once he sees daylight, Cooper accelerates with purpose. He gets upfield in a hurry and doesn’t waste steps, turning small creases into chunk gains. There’s a clear comfort level in reading blocks and reacting in real time, which helps him stay ahead of defenders at the second level.

He also shows enough burst to threaten defenses vertically, forcing pursuit angles to tighten and creating even more space for himself and his blockers. With early offers from programs like Missouri Tigers , Alabama , Auburn , Maryland , and Kansas, Cooper’s production and film traits are clearly translating to early high level attention.
