About Patton
Expert Analysis
Alin Edouard | Prep Redzone Scout
Jones continues to put together an impressive season, already throwing for 1,300 yards and 16 touchdowns while adding another 190 yards on the ground. His film shows a quarterback who can operate from the pocket while also using his mobility to create opportunities when protection breaks down. Jones does a nice job keeping his eyes downfield, going through his reads, and finding receivers in open windows. He has the arm strength to push the football downfield and can make throws on the move without losing much accuracy. What makes his game interesting is his ability to extend plays and force defenses to account for him as a runner. With the season still underway, Jones has more opportunities to build on those numbers and continue showing what he brings to the quarterback position.
