Gist has good range and solid ball skills which are showcased often in a single-high safety look. Gist does a really good job of reading the quarterback and he has good burst and acceleration to help get him to the catch point. Gist’s athleticism is evident in his ability to showcase that long rangy playmaking ability on the backend while also being able to come downhill and make plays from that single high safety spot. Additionally, Gist put some really strong special teams play on tape where he even further showcases his athletic ability.
