The last installment with our biggest risers of the updated 2024 Canada Rankings. There were over 100+ new prospects added to the rankings, several of which debuted in the top 100 making it extremely hard for prospects to move up the rankings. They were up against their already-ranked peers and a whole new crop of prospects who staked their claim in the PrepRedzone rankings which are the deepest most detailed rankings of Canadian prospects. These prospects stood out in their senior season tape and finalize the collection of prospects who made significant forward jumps in our rankings.
The criteria was simple here and check out below prospect who jumped 15 or more spots in our updated rankings.
Elshal rises up our rankings after a strong 2023 season for Séminaire Saint-François. The LB prospect who showed some versatility in his positioning excels in making plays both in the backfield and in coverage. Elshal is twitchy and shows good quickness and change of direction. He reads the game well and is quick and reactive tracking the ball. Although Elshal is slightly undersized, he plays tough and physically often finishing plays with violence and big hits. Elshal is a hybrid safety/linebacker at the next level and shows the athleticism to hang in coverage but the physical play style to come down hill.
Sanheim out of Salisbury Composite is a safety/cornerback prospect who shows both positional versatility and versatility in the way he plays the game. Sanheim is a dynamic athlete who shows burst and closing speed to be an effective blitzer, make plays in the running game downhill, and even recovering in coverage to make plays at the catch point. Sanheim is a two-way player and offensively shows off his speed and burst on jet sweeps when he runs the ball. Sanheim is a high-level athlete who on tape showed several developments to his game that helped him rise up our rankings.
Cole Gist Cole Gist 5’10” | 170 lbs | DB Salisbury | 2024 State CAD , a teammate of our previous player Sanheim was a free safety prospect who was all over the field in his tape. Gist has good range and solid ball skills which are showcased often in a single-high safety look. Gist does a really good job of reading the quarterback and he has good burst and acceleration to help get him to the catch point. Gist’s athleticism is evident in his ability to showcase that long rangy playmaking ability on the backend while also being able to come downhill and make plays from that single high safety spot. Additionally, Gist put some really strong special teams play on tape where he even further showcases his athletic ability.

Gage Parker Gage Parker 5’10” | 190 lbs | ATH Chinook | 2024 State CAD out of Chinook took his game to another level as a Senior where his playmaking ability with the ball in his hands was special and showcased why he was one of the most dangerous athletes in Alberta. Parker is a straight-line athlete who if you give some space to accelerate has breakaway speed that defenders in Canada struggle to catch. Parker runs with a low center of gravity and has a strong lower half often breaking through arm tackles with ease. Parker is used on special teams as a returner and has a diverse collection of reps getting him the ball. Parker can create separation running routes and does a good job of getting upfield after the catch. Parker also has some solid tape at Safety where his ball skills, speed, and instincts take over.
Tanner Zalluski Tanner Zalluski ATH Vincent Massey | 2024 State CAD out of St. Paul’s had some impressive Senior tape. Zalluski who plays primarily as an outside WR has really good ball-tracking skills and shows multiple acrobatic catches on tape. Zalluski also has some of the best blocking tape of the ranked WRs in Canada where he is physical and violent at the point of attack. Zalluski is also dynamic with the ball in his hands showcasing some return ability and also being able to make plays after the catch. Zalluski has a good change of direction and uses his burst out of his cuts to not only create extra yards but also create separation as a route runner.
Silas Gardner Silas Gardner 5’11” | 155 lbs | WR Grande Prairie | 2024 State CAD , a slotback out of Alberta is a smooth route runner who excels in making plays down the field. Gardner is a high-level separator and showcases the ability to run a full route tree. He is a smooth athlete who shows burst out of his cuts and can be an effective receiver in the short, intermediate, and deep areas of the field. Gardner has good hands and showcases the ability to catch the ball away from his body and turn upfield quickly. What helped Gardner move up our rankings was the consistent reps showcasing his dangerous playmaking ability on special teams. A dangerous returner, Gardner was one of the most impactful special teams players in the entire country on tape and gets rewarded jumping up our rankings.
