About Cole

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Smart, tough, explosive and violent.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

Team first, mentally/physically tough, relentless work ethic.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Involved in a faith based youth group called Young Life and play baseball.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Playing team sports my whole life has helped me grow and understand how to work as a team. Being selected as a team Captain on my 8th grade football team and moving up to the 10th grade team, while in 9th grade, has helped me build a foundation to help lead others on the football field, weight room and classroom.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I was cut from a travel baseball team I worked really hard to make for the two years prior to trying out. Spent the next year continuing to work on my development and skills. Made the team the following year of getting cut and the following year made the next best team in my age group.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college that will help me continue to develop as a football player and a future leader.

One of a couple Prior Lake 2029s that caught my attention on Saturday was Cole Derendal Cole Derendal Cole Derendal 6'1" | 240 lbs | OL/DL Prior Lake | 2029 MN . The 6’1 240 pounder wears that frame really well and off the eye test certainly has plenty of room to fill out in that frame over his high school years. From a skillset perspective, Cole showed off quick setting hands that were also pretty on-point in this early reps I watched from a pad-level perspective. Cole showed off glimpses of the blasting hands into the second level on occasion as an offensive guard that played JV as a freshmen which is encouraging.
