A former RB who has evolved into the most productive receiver for the Lakers last season. He brought down 27 catches for 387 yards and 3 TDs, while also rushing for over 200 yards and 2 TDs during what was a breakout junior year. On his tape, Mbinda is a shifty slot receiver who possesses creative route running and an ability to reel down contested balls against big DBs. He does great work between the hashes and has shown that he can take a big hit while reeling in balls. Mbinda is definitely an athlete who needs more recruiting attention ahead of his senior year.

Mbinda lined up on the edge but was a threat to run inside and out. He got in behind Zach Kuehn Zach Kuehn 6'1" | 275 lbs | OL Prior Lake | 2025 MN and Ethan Beckman Ethan Beckman 6'5" | 330 lbs | OL Prior Lake | 2026 State MN for six yards. He came across the formation and cut up off left guard for a thirty-six-yard touchdown run. The junior showed good patience with a run in the middle, picking his way for seven yards. Later, Mbinda got to the corner and made a couple of Tigers miss for a ten-yard gain. He caught a short touchdown catch, making a man miss at the three-yard line.
