Measuring in at 6’5 250-pounds, Stroup was key in protecting the quarterback and creating running lanes all season long for Pomona. Stroup has very good strength, and it’s shown throughout the film. If he gets beat, he’ll use that strength and pull down the DL/LB shutting them down instantly. He has a low pad level, good knee bend and good footwork. Stroup consistently creates contact first with the defender. Goes into good hand placement and very good hand strength. Controls and steers the defenders away, pushing them 10+ yards downfield to create lanes. Stroup stays with his block even after the whistle, showing his very good competitive toughness. He has a good anchor in pass protection. Shines as a run blocker. He uses his good acceleration and speed to dominate on pull blocks or blocks out in space.
