Sankey was a highly productive passer last fall at Montgomery Catholic and will be battle-tested against better competition as a senior at Opelika. He is a smaller-framed QB prospect, but I love the way he operates and think he is a capable enough athlete to play at the D1 level. Quick, smooth passing mechanics. The ball jumps off his hand, and he can play with touch down the field. He is a slick athlete who can get out on the move and make plays in space, but I love how he uses his traits to skate around the pocket and find himself a clean platform to throw off of. Very interested to see how Sankey performs this fall against some of the best competition in the state.

“Sankey has some really impressive arm talent, especially when it comes to his accuracy. He consistently places the ball perfectly for his WRs, hitting them in stride or putting the ball only where they can bring it in.

Sankey is excellent in the pocket. He does a great job avoiding pressure and standing tall to deliver huge passes downfield. On top of that, he has the athleticism to escape, extend plays, and make some really nice throws on the move.

Sankey had an impressive season last fall, completing 65% of his passes for 2528 yards and 25 TDs in the air.
