About Christian

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I’d describe my gameplay style as a true pocket passer—calm under pressure, focused on reading defenses, and delivering the ball with precision. I rely on timing, footwork, and accuracy to make smart decisions and move the chains efficiently.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I have a great work ethic and a team-first mentality. I take pride in being a leader both on and off the field—someone who holds myself accountable, pushes others to be their best, and stays locked in on every rep, every play, every drive.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I have also played basketball and lacrosse at the JV level. I have been on Honor Roll each semester. I am also involved in Youth Sports and serve as a Referee.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Football has taught me what it means to be a leader and how to stay composed under pressure, earn the trust of my teammates, and bring people together to work toward a common goal. It has helped me grow into a confident and accountable leader on and off the field.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

There have been small challenges along the way...but the biggest I am currently facing is changing schools. My family relocated within the City, and I am getting to know a new coach and team. I am enjoying the challenge and meeting new people along the way.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking to play for a college that values my work ethic, traditional Quarterback style, leadership and academic commitment. I am open to any type of college that would further my education and would be a mutually beneficial relationship.

Diehl completed all of 10 passes for 214 yards and 5 TDs in Damonte Ranch’s 61-0 season opening win over Hug on Friday. The 6’3″/195 QB was a new addition to the 2027 rankings this summer after showing his high-upside physical tools and arm talent in his offseason work and has the early looks of a breakout passer in northern Nevada. Diehl is a signal-caller to keep an eye on the rest of this season.

Diehl was a new addition to the 2027 QB rankings with the promising flashes he’s shown this offseason. He packs high-upside physical tools in his 6’3″/195 frame and looks to possess the arm strength to push the ball downfield with power and accuracy. Operates with decent footwork and a wide base and can get the ball out quick with a compact release. Diehl’s an intriguing passer to keep an eye on if he’s able to earn the starting with his new program, Damonte Ranch, this fall.
