His ability to create turnovers, recognize routes and contribute as a return man gives him high-value versatility. Hewitt is constantly in a position to make plays on the ball, showing great awareness and ball skills. He has a natural feel for space and timing in zone coverage. Hewitt doesn’t just cover the grass; he makes plays. His long speed is shown in his kick and punt returns for a touchdown. Hewitt has quick-twitch ability and has good footwork for controlled transitions and breaks. Against the run, he’s a willing tackler who doesn’t shy away from contact and can lower the boom when needed. He’ll be able to showcase his press and tight-man coverage skills this offseason at camps.
