Versatile offensive line prospect that projects as a Guard at the college level but also proved he can be effective playing Tackle. At 6’2” 305 lbs. he’s a mauler that accelerates on contact to finish his blocks. Plays with leverage and brings strong initial contact to force defenders off balance and drive them off the LOS. Shows good feet and mobility to mirror movement and slide in his pass set. Maintains engagement and sustains his blocks with good hand usage in the run game. Adjusts his angles well based on movement to line up his blocks. Jumped more than 20 spots in the overall rankings and now holds a handful of offers to his name.

Togafau-Paleafei showed brute strength and physicality as a 6’2”/305 sophomore for Palm Springs. He’s a stout, powerful IOL that can drive interior defenders off the ball and finishes blocks to the ground with a punisher’s mentality. He flashed technique and footwork as a pass blocker when kicked out at OT. With his raw size/physicality and focus on technique, Togafau-Paleafei offers upside worth tracking as the young 2027 prospect continues to develop.

Chief is another lineman prospect that shined on both sides of the ball. Quick to react and violent with his hands, he moved very well in tight quarters for a kid that is 6-foot-1 and 265-pounds. Displayed a great knowledge and usage of leverage in the trenches. Really impressed me with how he worked different pass rush moves despite knowing he could be successful by simply using the same move every time. Also did a nice job of moving as if his shoulders and lower body were connected by an imaginary string. Meaning he kept his hips underneath him and didn’t get over extended. As soon as he ripped or swatted the Offensive Lineman and got by him, his lower body immediately followed his shoulders, as if they were connected on that imaginary string.

. When I first started watching the Offensive Line, who was impressive overall as a unit, Chief was playing Right Tackle. However, after some snapping issues, the 6-foot-1, 265-pounder was moved inside to play Center for the remainder of the day. While the snaps still weren’t 100% and is something the coaching staff was harping on, it did improve with Chief manning the position. Long term I think Chief is ultimately an interior Defensive Lineman, but he didn’t look out of place at all as an interior Offensive Linemen. Agile and aggressive for a nice-sized 2027 prospect, his snaps and first step were in sync and timely. Understood angles well, in order to cut off scraping Linebackers. He did a very solid, commendable job.

A thick, strong interior mauler on both sides of the ball, Chief Togafau-Paleafei was a delight to watch along the front for the Vegas Strong 14U team. The power and physicality he plays with is on full display when he makes contact with whoever is lined up across from him. On the offensive side of the ball he’s an ideal Guard or Center at this point given his frame and 265-pound frame. Does a nice job at throwing short, powerful jabs at the point of contact which is enough to halt most Defensive Linemen in their tracks. Now, on the defensive side of the ball, he’s a lock as an interior Defensive Tackle. He’s listed at 6-foot-1 but plays squatty and low to the ground, which makes him tough to move out of the way. Adequate quickness off the ball with active hands. If nothing else, he at least eats up the blocks and allows Linebackers to stay clean.
