Chase Varney Chase Varney 6'2" | 185 lbs | QB Belfry | 2026 State KY caught my attention with a solid junior year. Varney does a great job of running the option offense at Belfry, showing the ability to read his keys and make decisions quickly. When keeping the ball, he has shown the ability to use his speed and elusiveness in the open field to make big plays as a ball carrier. He finished this past season with 35 carries for 183 yards and eight touchdowns in 13 games. As a passer, Varney has an impressive quick release, showing the ability to hit his receivers out of their breaks quickly so that they can make catches in stride. As a junior, he completed 86/145 passes for 1,473 yards, 16 touchdowns, and seven interceptions. Chase currently holds an offer from Pikeville and I expect his recruitment to continue to heat up this offseason.
