About Chase

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I play aggressive but smart. I know when to throw the deep ball off the pre-snap reads and trust my receivers that they will make the play. When pressured, I am not afraid to scramble out of the pocket and adjust to the situation.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I think it's important to throw a good ball even if it means taking a hit. I stay in the pocket until the last moment so I can ensure the best outcome even if I have to put my body out there.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Ski Club Student Activities Board SHOC Leader Kindness Committee Member & Sub Chair Leader

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Volunteer as a youth camp counselor for baseball and basketball Was selected by my football coach and the Principal to be part of a small select group of students for a new initiative at Unionville - the Kindness Committee Participate in Teamwork activities with my team, like - Millersville U team camp, paintball tournament for building communication, group leader for mulching community event

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I decided to move into the QB role as a freshman. Throughout MS, I played WR and Safety and knew these positions and roles very well. It was a new and fun challenge to learn a new position - QB. I worked with my coaches across the summer to be prepared for HS football. As the season went on, I gained confidence, continued to perform better, and showed my team they can trust me to make the play.

What type of college are you looking for?

Medium to large in size college, I live in PA and prefer a college in the south east area.

This is not a knock on Chase Johnson Chase Johnson Chase Johnson 6'0" | 151.09 lbs | QB Unionville | 2028 PA , but he is equally as good an athlete as he is a quarterback. I can totally see him starting next season as a quarterback or as a wide receiver; he is that good of an athlete. As a quarterback, he showed good skills at the showcase. He threw a good ball and showed solid mechanics. His arm and accuracy are good as well. Johnson is for sure a good football player who could start at wide receiver or quarterback next season.

Chase Johnson Chase Johnson Chase Johnson 6'0" | 151.09 lbs | QB Unionville | 2028 PA is a good athlete and a good quarterback. He has potential as a thrower, and he is someone who should only improve. His mechanics and footwork are good, and he throws a good ball. I am excited to see him perform again after he worked out in the winter showcase. The question I have for him is, could he be one of the top 5 performers at the quarterback position? He could perform at that type of level.

I had never seen Chase Johnson Chase Johnson Chase Johnson 6'0" | 151.09 lbs | QB Unionville | 2028 PA throw before live, but I came away impressed with him at the showcase. He has excellent mechanics and footwork. He throws a good, accurate ball. The other part of his game I thought was impressive was his ability to move. He is a good athlete who moves well. He is good at moving inside the pocket. I thought he also did excellent during the one-on-one competitions. Johnson is definitely a stock riser, and he should be ranked.
