Horton is a sound QB who seems to see the whole field and can get through his progressions. He’s able to roll out and keep his eyes downfield and make the throw on the run. He’s got a good arm down the field and can put some touch on the ball and drop it in over a defender. He knows to set his feet and square his shoulders up on the move as well. There’s a lot to like with Horton and where he is right now in his development. He plays the position the way it’s meant to be played, and his receivers seemed to appreciate the consistency.

Horton has been fantastic to this point this year, and what he did on Friday was only needed in half of the game. The offense couldn’t be stopped, and Horton led the way. He was dialed in, made some good throws, and was aware of everything on the field. He threw for 362 yards and 3 TDs in the first half alone.

Horton is a 6’0, 155 lbs quarterback out of St. Johns, IN. The Class of 2028 QB displays polished footwork and a quick release. He throws a tight spiral that leaves his hand with strong velocity, allowing Horton to thread the needle into tight windows. Can’t wait to see Horton show off his skills in 1-on-1’s at the PRZ Midwest Middle School Showcase this weekend.
