Chance Fischer Chance Fischer 5'8" | 155 lbs | RB Bayonne | 2026 State NJ has been a spark plug for Bayonne all season. The 5’8”, 165-pound back runs with power, balance, and purpose. He hits the hole fast and wastes no movement. Once he sees daylight, he explodes through it.
Fischer’s thick lower frame gives him strong contact balance. He bounces off defenders and keeps his legs driving. In the open field, he shows solid burst — not blazing top-end speed, but enough juice to pull away and create big plays. He’s dangerous both between the tackles and on the edge, where his vision and quick cuts stand out.
Defensively, Fischer flashes the same instincts. He’s active in coverage, reading routes well, and jumping on tipped passes for interceptions. His awareness and reaction time give Bayonne an edge on both sides of the ball.
Fischer’s fundamentals are sharp — from pass protection to field vision — and that’s what makes him a complete back. If he continues to produce, he deserves a look at the next level. He fits the mold of a reliable third-down back who can protect, catch, and make plays in space

Chance Fischer Chance Fischer 5'8" | 155 lbs | RB Bayonne | 2026 State NJ has impressive film. As the Bees’ returning starter in the backfield, Fischer shows that he instinctually varies the style of runner he is, while maintaining that vintage Bayonne blue collar grittiness. Fischer is able to make hard breaks after going full speed to make defenders miss in open space. With a low center of gravity, defenders must get real low on his shorter frame to tackle him, only for the rising senior to hurdle ankle-biters with ease. It seems as though his eyes are always downfield as he seeks the next avenue and lane to attack. The acceleration downfield is there as well. Squirmy at times, Fischer is the type of back that opponents must gang tackle. A hands-catcher, Fischer’s tape would be more complete with clips of him in pass coverage; while his collegiate stock, at his size, will depend largely on how well he runs – specifically how quickly he can achieve top speed.

Chance Fischer Chance Fischer 5'8" | 155 lbs | RB Bayonne | 2026 State NJ came out of Week 7 with one of the biggest rushing performances of the weekend. Bayonne took it to Columbia, as they walloped them 47-7 . In the win, Chance made the most of every opportunity he was given and popped off multiple times for big gains. It only took 10 carries for Chance to find the end zone 3 times and run for 182 yards.
Explosive the moment he takes a step out of his stance, Chance looks like he is shot out of cannon when coming out of the backfield. Hitting the hole with great speed, Chance can somehow cut through the middle of the field untouched and continue accelerating as he sprints downfield. That speaks to Chance’s vision and ability to react to the everchanging flow of the play. Chance is quick on his feet and can pivot on short notice, changing directions to find the daylight.

Chance Fischer Chance Fischer 5'8" | 155 lbs | RB Bayonne | 2026 State NJ has a chance to be a very special player. Listed as a defensive back and running back, Fischer lines up all over the place for the Bees and just recently set a new squat SRM at 405 lbs as just a sophomore. Fischer finished the season with 4 PBU and 10 tackles on defense, while accounting for 71 yards on the ground and 290 through the air, scoring twice. A serious threat at slot, Fischer can flip his hips in-and-out very quickly to completely put defensive backs in a blender. He also tracks the deep ball extremely well on the deep bomb. Despite his height, Fischer has ups as he can hurdle defenders/piles on the ground. Because he is able to achieve top speed in about 5 steps, his film showed him mostly as an outside rushing threat. This, plus his ability to move laterally very quickly, combined with his great vision to find a seam and hit it at full speed makes him a bonafide home run threat. He has enough wiggle to make people miss in the open field and benefits from a low center of gravity. With three-time captain Rocky Rodriguez finally graduating, I anticipate Fischer filling those shoes. Should he assume lead-back responsibilities, colleges want to see more clips of him running between the tackles and in pass protection.
