, an unwavering, “never too high, never too low” gunslinger that led Xavier to an undefeated season as their star QB, and he has chance to further his legacy in Cedar Rapids with another stellar year.
Completing 125-of-172 passes (72.7%) for 2,220 yards, 28 touchdowns and just two interceptions, Parks was incredibly efficient, showing his football IQ, vision over the field and the willingness to trust his receivers to go make a play. Parks can throw accurate passes on the run either to his left or his right, putting them where only his receiver can go get it, taking advantage of matchups on the outside and dissecting the defense to make the right read. As a runner, Parks protected himself by avoiding big hits, but he also made the most of each of his carries, finishing the season with 74 rushes for 383 yards and ten scores.
He loses his leading rusher and four of his top five receivers from last season, but if he can replicate the same success he had as a junior, it’ll be tough to keep Parks out of the conversation.

For a QB who just led his team to an undefeated season with one of the most statistically proficient seasons among all QBs in the state, #6 seems too low of a ranking right now for

. Completing just under 73% of his total passes, Parks threw for 2220 yards, 28 TDs, and only 2 INTs while rushing for 383 yards (5.2 YPC) and 10 rushing TDs. Showing significant improvement in his progressions and reads compared to his sophomore campaign, Parks led the offense with a level of swagger and confidence that was unmatched in the conference, picking apart opposing secondaries with ease, and showing great poise under pressure. It will be tough for Parks to top off such a great junior campaign, but he is a legitimate stud as a signal-caller who should be garnering some serious attention at the next level.

heading into the 2025 season, they will certainly recognize him now as Parks led Xavier to an unprecedented run to perfection as they claimed their 2nd 4A state title in 4 years. Parks finished with 2220 passing yards, 28 TDs, and only 2 INTs while rushing for 383 yards and 10 rushing TDs. Parks completed 72.7% of his attempts and his passer rating of 232.5 ranked 4th most among Iowa QBs with over 100 passing attempts last season. Parks was the real deal last season, playing with a calm, cool presence in the pocket, being able to nail deep throws with pressure getting to his face, and showing natural release along with great reads on his progressions. Parks will be a name that should likely skyrocket on the QB rankings entering his senior season as he will look to round out his high school career by defending the Saints’ 4A title.

is one of the better quarterbacks in this part of the state. A veteran that saw quite a bit in his first year starting for the Saints last season, Parks can read coverages and easily recognize when and where his receivers have an advantage.
With three touchdown passes of 30+-yards on Friday night, Parks knows just the right amount of air and touch to put on deep throws, trusting his receivers to not only make a play on the ball, but make a play after the catch. Mobile enough to escape the pocket and take off when he needs to, opposing defenses need to keep a spy in the middle of the field to account for his ability to take off.
Parks is still waiting on his first offer, but that should be coming soon, as FCS programs won’t want to miss out on his talent, and he’d be worth a preferred-walk on spot at an FBS school.
