Lacy measures in at 6’2 190-pounds playing QB/FS for Northfield. This past season, he went 66/134 for 974 yards, 49.3% completion rate, 10 TDs, 3 INT, 24 carries for 92 yards with 1 rushing touchdown, 8 total tackles, and 4 INT. Lacy has good athletic ability due to very good speed, acceleration, good change of direction, and balance. Lacy possesses a quick release and good throw power. Fluid throwing motion. He excels in the pocket with his pocket mobility and will run for a first down if no one’s open. As a safety, he has very good ball tracking and catching skills. He uses his good read and reaction speed to diagnose plays and make the interception. He’s an exciting two-way player who continues to improve his craft.

Lacy continues to lead his team to victories. The 6’2 190-pound QB/FS is looking to continue in round 2 of the 4A playoffs. He has good athletic ability due to very good jumping, speed, good change of direction, and acceleration. He balls out on the defensive side. He has very good ball instincts and reaction speed. He trusts what he sees and leads him to the tackle or big play. Very good tackling and run support. Good timing on pass breaks and uses his very good catching to pluck the ball out of the air for interceptions. As a QB, he had good throw power with a very quick release. He maintains accuracy under pressure or will use his scramble ability to run for the first down. Another player I’m very excited to see this weekend.

Cash is at the helm of this high-powered Northfield offense. He throws with great pace on his short and intermediate passing. I like how he keeps his feet hot (but calm) in the pocket and isn’t afraid to take what the defense gives him. In the quick game, Lacy shows an ability to shorten his motion and quickly get it out to get the ball into his playmaker’s hands in space. On defense Lacy is Northfield’s safety valve – as their deep safety, Lacy shows his QB acumen to make plays on the ball and recognizing route concepts as they develop. This offseason I’d like to see his lower body mechanics find consistency to get more power on deep balls. At times he can slightly overstride and step too closed not allowing his hips to fully rotate. I expect Cash to at a minimum be a top 15 QB in Colorado as a SR, but won’t rule out the top 5-10 with a great offseason.

Lacy had himself a game against Mesa Ridge. Playing both sides of the ball. As a QB he went 6/9 for 80 yards. As a safety, he had 2 INTs, 3 PDs, 3 tackles, and one of the pass deflections turned into an interception. Lacy has good athletic ability due to very good speed, jumping, good acceleration, and change of direction. As a safety, he has been thriving. He shows off his very good read and reaction speed. Lacy will come down into the box from his deep safety position, and still provide very good run support. Very good tackler. Lacy has very good timing on pass breaks up, and very good ball tracking. Very good catching. He uses his suction hands to pluck the ball out of the air. He’ll also put his hands underneath on low ball INTs, so it doesn’t hit the ground. Lacy still demonstrated his QB traits by staying poised and use his good throw on the run skills to find open receivers. Watch out for him to make a statement this season.

Lacy had himself a nice outing through 5 games last season for Northfield. The 6’2 175 pound QB threw for 511 yards with a 70.7% completion and 6 TD with 0 INT. Lacy has good athletic ability due to good acceleration and speed. Lacy has good scramble ability, and roll out speed. He shows off his fluid hips during rollouts to the left. One thing of note about Lacy is his very good touch. He’ll throw it over the LB and DB’s heads making an easy catch for the WR. He has good pocket mobility and stays poised under pressure. Lacy demonstrates good accuracy, and makes good decisions with the ball not putting it in harms way. Keep an eye on Lacy going into this season.

Despite appearing in only five games, Lacy made a significant impact at the quarterback position, throwing for 511 yards, six touchdowns, and zero interceptions while completing 70% of his passes. His efficiency and poise suggest that he could be “the guy” heading into next season. Lacy possesses the arm strength to make all the necessary throws and the agility to evade pressure in the pocket. With another offseason to develop, he has a strong chance to take over the starting role and become a difference maker for his team. If he secures the job, his team will feature a potent offense capable of making noise in 4A.
