I tell you what, the 2025 and 2026 classes have some impressive TE prospects with great potential, and that includes Ripley’s Carter Neal Carter Neal 6'6" | 230 lbs | TE Ripley | 2026 State WV . Neal is a legit 6’6 220 and to my surprise is not on the Vikings’ basketball team and instead prefers the wrestling mat. That wrestling background should greatly benefit him at the TE position, especially in the blocking game. Neal is a raw athlete right now but you can see the high upside and potential that he possesses on his sophomore highlight tape. While still a bit lanky, I appreciated the number of blocking clips as an in-line TE, and that part of the game will only get better as he continues to add weight and strength. Ripley doesn’t throw the ball a ton so pass-catching highlights are limited but I have full confidence in his athletic ability to develop that part of the TE position. Neal is also his team’s long snapper giving him a good plan B as a college prospect with his size and athleticism. He also sees time as a hybrid DE/OLB but I firmly believe Neal can develop into a D1 level TE prospect over the next two years.
