Serving as the Left Guard, Metzger helped open up the run game through the interior while also proving to be a solid pull-guard, playing with enough quickness and balance to get to the outside and set up a block for the outer lane. Metzger rarely gets pushed back, has decent length to keep defenders out of reach, and is flexible from the lower body with his movement. Metzger should build some mass to fit his interior role, but he has certainly stood out playing for an accomplished unit.
