It’s no wonder my notebook was loaded with small notes on Bryce throughout the day in Brookings at the 6/9 prospect camp, cause golly this young man was impressive. Obviously we watched a ton of offensive linemen throughout the day, but I was very intrigued with the agile footwork and speed that Bryce showed off for his size. He possessed too a great first step and is not a offensive linemen you wanted to meet at the second level as this young man is super smooth when you watch him finish his blocks. With a Missouri Valley Conference offer and a handful of D2 offers this young man I feel could blow up this summer the deeper we get into camp season.

paved the way for West Lyon to finish 3rd in the conference in rushing yards and tied-1st among all Class-2A teams in rushing touchdowns (48) en route to winning a state championship for the first time at the 2A level. Kock plays extremely well in the run support, maintaining a low center of gravity and consistently driving defenders backward, or keeping them contained on the inside. Kock gets off the snap quickly, keeps his balance against contact, and extends a wide base to combat speedy edge-rushers. Kock currently holds 3 offers, including one D1 offer from Northern Iowa, and he could very easily find a role at the next level either at Tackle or Guard.
Kock stands out on his junior highlight video as a prospect getting the job now with high-ceiling potential for the next level. He’s a big reason why West Lyon won another state championship with an unblemished record last season. Kock chipped in on defense, producing a couple of tackles for loss and a sack, but his greatest impact occurred on the offensive front. He thrives with physicality and a burst off of the snap. The combination puts defenders on their heels from the jump and most of them never recover. Kock looks fluid getting into his pass-pro stance and does a nice job placing his hands. A tackle at the prep level, Kock looks capable of sliding inside and succeeding if a college staff prefers him there.
West Lyon owns a proud history of producing college prospects. Kock is among next ones in line. The 6-foot-3, 270-pound junior-to-be is a mauler on the interior of the Wildcats offensive line. As you can witness while watching his 10th-grade highlights, one of his best traits is moving quickly off of the snap and getting to his assignment. Sometimes that’s driving through an opponent right in front of him. At other times it might be him reaching a linebacker or safety on the second level. He does a nice job with his hands in directing who he’s blocking where he wants him to go. Kock has received summer camp invitations from Iowa, Iowa State, Nebraska, Wisconsin, South Dakota State and others. His recruitment could skyrocket after that.
