Following the trend of defensive backs that I liked, Carson Bowman Carson Bowman 5'10" | 165 lbs | DB Blair Academy | 2025 State NJ was a safety that exudes confidence with his calm, fluid, and tight back pedal – which allows him to break very nicely on the ball. A very good tackler, Bowman goes in low, thorough the hip, wraps up tight, and rolls to his leverage. He plays the alley very nicely on jets and forces immediate cutbacks. In coverage he flips his hips nicely. As an offensive weapon he can track the ball over his shoulder nicely and adjust to the tip drill when it is in application. Although he can stand to use his hands more when catching, he will extend his arms when needed and lowers his hips when breaking his route’s step. Although he may not light it up, he is a very good ball player who only positively impacts his team.

Another two way starter, Carson Bowman Carson Bowman 5'10" | 165 lbs | DB Blair Academy | 2025 State NJ is another athlete primed for a big senior season. A safety lurking in the secondary, Carson has quick play recognition from the defensive backfield and can change direction and dart upfield very quickly. A sure tackler on the outside, Carson prevents runners from having any success when they try to bounce it. Making 30 tackles, 1 FF and 1 interception, Carson is a big time defensive threat.
He is also another Blair receiver that uses his speed to beat the defender off of the line. With his quick feet, he can get the corner to turn his hips, setting himself up for an easy catch and run. Look for Carson to make some athletic catches next season.

A prep school prospect, Bowman showed grit and polish. The first thing I noticed was how he worked to finish each and every one of his routes. Additionally, and what impressed me the most about Bowman’s game, was his ability to fight and come up victorious through contact. This ability showed in three ways: at the line beating the jam, jostling for contact throughout his pattern, and as the ball arrived.
