Carnel Smith Jr. is a home run hitter at the quarterback position. Utilizing the speed of his receivers, Smith excels when he is pushing the ball down the field and challenging defensive backs. Tossing for more than 2,100 yards last season, Smith is a pocket passer that has his timing worked down to a science to deliver the ball to his receivers with separation. He has above-average arm strength from a junior to hit difficult deep outs and can deliver back-shoulder throws with touch. Smith performs well in the red zone and with a short field as well. Proficient in his short drops, Smith can fit a ball in tight windows and has a quick reaction time to find his man. His tape should be seen by all coaches as Smith is a Div. I talent.
