T.W. Hunter Middle School in Sumner County, Tennessee had a very impressive season, as they won their second consecutive County Championship and third in the past five years. On a team full of talented 2028 and 2029 prospects, Car’del (who also goes by CJ) Douglas played a big factor on both sides of the ball for the Buccaneers. At 5-foot-5 and 152-pounds he was a nice mix of speed and power at the running position and showed he can run it up between the tackles just as well as he can in open field. Just as he does on offense, he relies heavily on his speed when he’s playing outside linebacker. His speed is very good–but not elite when comparing around the country. That’s where his strength and ability to shed arm tackles (on offense) and over-extended blockers (on defense) is really evident. He’s one to watch.
