Long enters high school after earning All-County honors as both a seventh and eighth-grader. Long was the key to a high-powered offensive machine that outscored its opponents 520-149 last season, leading the Hunter Buccaneers to a third-straight Sumner County title.

Long put an exclamation point on his middle school football career by helping T.W. Hunter Middle School to its third consecutive Sumner County Conference Championship this season. Long was the catalyst for a special offensive group that averaged 38 points per game and outscored opponents 520-149, helping him earn the latter half of back-to-back All-County nods. The multi-sport athlete has also earned All-County and All-Area honors on the basketball court this season.

- Long has a very, very bright future on the football field in my opinion. As of November 2024, he has the size, fundamentals, arm talent and athleticism (he’s been dunking a basketball since the spring) to project to a high level of football. His right helped lead the Buccaneers average nearly 32 points a game in 2023 and 38 points per game in 2024.
