Derby 2028 running back Cameron Akins Cameron Akins 6'0" | 180 lbs | DB Wichita East | 2028 State KS came down from Kansas and immediately turned heads. Akins was not only top ten in both drills, he was in the top three for both. In the 40-yard dash, Akins ran a time of 4.78 on his second attempt and that was good enough for the second fastest time. In the shuttle run, Akins was clocked at 4.38 seconds and that was good enough for the third fastest at the camp. Akins was also right there near the top of the running back position during the individual drills and one on one competition. Derby isn’t exactly lacking talent and they have another playmaker coming up.
