‘s junior highlight film was his versatility as an athlete. The first three clips of his highlights were on different sides of the ball. He had a long touchdown catch then an impressive pick six and rounded out with a big kick return. His fourth highlight was of him blocking down the field for his scrambling quarterback and that type of variety in film is what I love to see when evaluating high school athletes. The more you can help your team and provide value to a program is exactly what colleges are looking for. Vandevander is a talented receiver that plays primarily in the slot and has the speed to slip by nickels and outside linebackers. He showed good route-running technique and has the innate ability to slip by defenders for big gains. Vandevander is also a good defensive back and can play just about every skill position on offense and defense.
