Caleb Newsome Caleb Newsome 5'11" | 160 lbs | WR Nazareth | 2026 PA is a very talented WR out of Nazareth HS. A program known for having great WR talent. This is a kid produced from the same HS as Jahan Dotson and Mason Keuhner (Freshman All-American – Lafayette). Newsome will also play his collegiate ball for the Leopards. Newsome is a great route runner and great after the catch. He’s shifty and has true 4.5 speed. For Nazareth all season he beat everyone in every way. Whether it be a deep ball, an intermediate route, or a screen there was a chance for something special to happen. Newsome is an exciting prospect out of the EPC. It’s sad to see him graduate, but I’m excited to watch him compete at the next level!

6’0, 165 pounds. 10.9 100M time. A Lafayette commit, held offers out of Navy, Air Force, Temple, among many more.
Currently ranked a top-ten two-way athlete, Newsome sadly doesn’t have any tape up on Hudl from any game this Fall. Newsome’s recruiting has wrapped up, so it’s not a pressing issue that no tape is out, as he’s aligned with the Lafayette brass on how to operate moving forward. Still, I would love to see what one of my favorite football players is up to. Newsome was running free downfield left and right in the game I attended against Liberty. Newsome could have easily scored on streaks downfield on more than three occasions. One of the best FCS-signees in Pennsylvania, Newsome’s ranking is likely to stay within the Top 40-60 range.

I would consider the conversation between Nazareth’s Caleb Newsome Caleb Newsome 5'11" | 160 lbs | WR Nazareth | 2026 PA and Temple DL coach Kevon Beckwith, a conversation that would ultimately lead to an offer, Newsome’s most important conversation yet.
Flood gates could open after the Group of Five stamp via Temple Owls. Temple currently provides Newsome with the opportunity to play at the “highest” level of competition, with the majority of Newsome’s opportunities coming at the FCS level. Doesn’t mean it’s the perfect fit for the two-way star, yet it’ll likely open up some more doors before September comes around. Offer that were extended recently include Fordham and Maine as well.

Caleb Newsome is an extremely talented WR out of Nazareth High School. The Blue Eagles have produced plenty of Division 1 receivers in recent memory, Jahan Dotson (Penn State-Commanders), Julian Liaci (Villanova), and Mason Keuhner (Lafayette). Newsome has had two programs pull the trigger on him so far this spring. Those programs are Bucknell and Colgate. Caleb also took a visit to Annapolis to visit Navy. Let’s check out Newsome’s recruitment before this spring cycle. Offers: Lehigh, New Hampshire, Navy, Air Force, Monmouth, Army, Lafayette Visits: Temple I believe Newsome will have a fantastic season in his Senior Campaign. He now takes over as the true WR1 on Nazareth’s pass-heavy offense. Expect to hear “Caleb Newsome” a lot from the Blue Eagles announcer this season. Don’t be shocked if you see more programs pull the trigger this summer after camp.

Caleb Newsome Caleb Newsome 5'11" | 160 lbs | WR Nazareth | 2026 PA came to play at the showcase. I was super impressed with his entire performance at the camp. 1st Newsome is a burner, he ran a time of 4.57 in the 40 and showed quickness with a 4.6 shuttle time. Newsome then was one of the most polished wide receivers in the entire camp. He caught the ball well and ran excellent routes. I was super impressed with him. Newsome is someone that should get a ton of love from CFB coaches in the future.

Love how Newsome tested in this one. 4.57 40, 4.6 shuttle, 9’2 broad, on top of wowing coaches during Indis and 1v1s. Newsome and Young know how these camps go, they showed up to impress, that he did. More on his performance in a later piece.

Newsome’s highlight tape showcases much of the same. From what I’ve seen at camps, on previous years’ tapes, what I saw in person, Newsome is doing pretty much everywhere he goes. As consistent a down-field separator as you’ll find in this class, the kid serves as one of the better deep threats the class has to offer. Tack on occasional reps at DB too. Happy to see the young man playing well.

Division One talent who is working towards a possible FBS offer in the near future.
Offers from Lehigh and Lafayette.
5’11, 155
4.5 40 (self-reported)
Back at Nazareth after spending time at the Peddie School.
3-minute tape, 26 receptions, 430+ yards, four scores in six games.
One of the best slot weapons this class has to offer. Completely aware of his surroundings, coverage, and personnel included. His ability to manipulate safeties shows on tape. Pacing throughout his route, the ability to hit different gears makes him a tough guard in man coverage. Newsome is also the best separator on this list so far.
Outside corner capabale.
Kick return capable
Majority of reps are on offense, however.
