Caleb Newsome is an extremely talented WR out of Nazareth High School. The Blue Eagles have produced plenty of Division 1 receivers in recent memory, Jahan Dotson (Penn State-Commanders), Julian Liaci (Villanova), and Mason Keuhner (Lafayette). Newsome has had two programs pull the trigger on him so far this spring. Those programs are Bucknell and Colgate. Caleb also took a visit to Annapolis to visit Navy. Let’s check out Newsome’s recruitment before this spring cycle. Offers: Lehigh, New Hampshire, Navy, Air Force, Monmouth, Army, Lafayette Visits: Temple I believe Newsome will have a fantastic season in his Senior Campaign. He now takes over as the true WR1 on Nazareth’s pass-heavy offense. Expect to hear “Caleb Newsome” a lot from the Blue Eagles announcer this season. Don’t be shocked if you see more programs pull the trigger this summer after camp.
Justin Peluso is a dominant LB for Freedom HS. The 6’0 | 215 lb prospect has been trending upwards with his recruitment this spring. Peluso has picked up offers from Lafayette and Cornell. He also took visits to Colgate, Lehigh, JMU, and Lafayette. Let’s check out where Peluso has taken visits before spring. Visits: Monmouth, Army West Point Justin announced on 4/29 that he will be taking his talents to Easton, PA to play for Lafayette College. I believe that Peluso will have a strong senior campaign. He plays on both sides of the ball for Freedom and truly is a fun player to watch. I’m excited to see him develop as a player over the next year!
Nathan Kutufaris is a huge OL prospect out of Cardinal O’Hara. The 6’6 | 270 lb prospect recently announced where he will be taking his talents, but I want to dive into his recruitment first. This spring he has picked up offers from Air Force, Liberty, Duke, Boston College, Yale, Navy, Lafayette, Columbia, Buffalo, Syracuse, Colgate, Princeton, UPenn, Army, Towson, and Cornell. Nathan took visits to Syracuse and Boston College. Before spring here is what Kutufaris’s recruitment looked like. Offers: Dartmouth Visits: JMU, Maryland, Dartmouth, Harvard As you can see Nathans’s recruitment started to pick up this spring. It’s too late to hop on the trend now. Kutufaris announced on 4/22 that he will be taking his talents to Duke University. I’m extremely excited to watch Kutufaris as a Blue Devil, and can’t wait to see him dominate during his senior campaign.
Highlights
Keon Kenner Keon Kenner 6’0″ | 220 lbs | ATH Frankford | 2024 PA is a powerful RB out of The Pennington School. The 6′ | 200lb prospect can make you miss in more than one way. He has the quickness to make you miss in the open field, and the power to run you over. This spring Keon has picked up offers from Navy, UPenn, Army, and Air Force. He has taken visits to Harvard, Lehigh, and Columbia. Let’s see what BIG10 program Kenner visited before the spring cycle.
Visits: Penn State
I expect more schools to start pulling the trigger on Kenner once they see him in camp. I think his senior campaign will be extremely productive. Last season he helped Pennington take down Tower Hill for the first time in 30 years. He ran for 202 yards and 2 Touchdowns that game. Keep an eye out for Keon Kenner Keon Kenner 6’0″ | 220 lbs | ATH Frankford | 2024 PA moving forward.
Deante Ruffin is a QB prospect who is extremely fun to watch. The 6’3 | 230 lb prospect plays on both sides of the ball but excels at the Quarterback position. This spring Ruffin has picked up offers from UPenn, Fordham, and Army. He took visits to ECU and Kent State. Let’s take a deeper dive into Deante’s busy recruitment before spring. Offers: Cornell, Maryland, Syracuse, Kent State, Pitt, Boston College, Temple, West Virginia Visits: Rutgers, Syracuse, Maryland, Penn State Ruffin is transferring from Winslow HS (NJ) to Neumann Goretti (PA) to finish out his HS campaign. I’m excited to see how Neumann Goretti uses him in their offense. It is something that will be fun to watch. Ruffin has the arm and athleticism to excel at the next level, and I’m excited to see where he takes his talents.
Carter Bashir is starting to pick up lots of attention in the recruiting world. The 2026 prospect has picked up offers from Duke and South Carolina this spring. The 6’4 | 230 lb prospect will only continue to develop at Neumann Goretti with guys like Dan Adefolarin there helping him grow as a player. Let’s talk about Bashir’s recruitment before the spring cycle. Offers: Miami, Charlotte Visits: Penn State (3/29) Bashir is a prospect that you will want to get on now if you are a college program. Like I stated before this is a rising Junior that is only going to grow and get better at his craft. He can turn himself into a national recruit over these next two years and I can’t wait to see how it happens. The kid is a force to be reckoned with.
