Bellevue West Caleb Goodwater Caleb Goodwater 6'2" | 190 lbs | QB Bellevue West | 2028 State NE might’ve taken home the title of “Top QB” at the tournament had they been handing out awards. Caleb gave us a glimpse of what to expect from him as he enters the Thunderbirds QB1 role going into his junior year. Caleb was very accurate throwing the ball, showing he can throw with good timing and can find his receivers in stride. He does a great job reading defenses and identifying passing windows. Even when facing tight windows, Caleb showed he has the zip to rifle the ball into them. Great touch and ball placement on his deep throws made him a threat to strike from anywhere, and he did. Overall, Caleb looked pretty polished for only being in his junior year and his first full year as a starter, with good footwork, a smooth throwing motion, and growing confidence with every pass… watch out, Class A!

Bellevue West’s Caleb Goodwater Caleb Goodwater 6'2" | 190 lbs | QB Bellevue West | 2028 State NE is another name to watch out for next season as he looks to win the starting QB spot. Caleb only attempted 33 passes as a sophomore, completing 21 for 126 passing yards. Despite the small sample size, Caleb has shown enough on the field to really get you excited about what he could do with the weapons on the Thunderbird offense. Caleb is a taller, athletic QB who can stand tall in the pocket, scan the defense, and make smart decisions with the ball. He has the arm to complete passes at all levels of the field. isn’t necessarily a burner on the ground, but he has shown that he can use his legs to evade the pass rush, extend plays outside of the pocket, or even tuck it and run when needed. High ceiling player who should get his chance to shine this season!
