Espinosa is a player that once he gets into the zone he is able to flip the switch and be an unstoppable force. He excels at getting off of blocks, being violent with his hands and eluding blocks. He is a backer that is able to constantly create chaos in the backfield getting TFLs and stopping the running back before they get going. He has good vision coming down and filling the correct gap and making a play. He has the ability to scrape over top and make plays on the perimeter as well. He is uncommitted and looking to make an impact at the next level.

The linebacker had a massive game for the Chatfield Chargers. The 5’9 195-pound linebacker had 11 total tackles (7 solo, 4 assisted), and 5 TFL. Espinosa used his good mental processing to identify the gaps, rushing them leading to a tackle for loss. He was consistently in the backfield giving Denver South pressure. Espinosa has very good acceleration and speed to zip around the field. Athleticism to cover tight ends. He showcases his good competitive toughness by assisting teammates tackle. Espinosa watches the QB’s eyes, and doesn’t take his eyes off the ball. He has good block shedding, and lays the boom to the ball carrier. Great performance by the senior.

Espinosa is a dawg that is one of the top LB in the class and is a name you should know. He has good vision being able to read his keys and can work downhill quickly to fill his gap and make a play. He has the ability to drop back into coverage and keep up with receivers to bat the ball down. He shows good instinct being able to read and react and shows good hands scooping and scoring when he gets the chance. He will be a player that turns heads this season and will be a name to know moving forward.
