Turnbull has been a productive edge rusher for Chatfield. Measures in at 6’3 215-pounds. He accounted for 58 total tackles (14 solo, 44 assisted), 6 TFL, 2.5 sacks, 19 QB pressures, 1 blocked field goal, and 1 blocked punt. He has very good athletic ability due to his very good lateral quickness, acceleration, balance, and good speed. Explosive quickness out of his stance engaging with the OL with his very good hand speed. Good strength and hand strength to rip through blocks. Very good bend around the edge demonstrating his flexibility. Very good block shedding and get off skills. Disengages from his block and makes the tackle. Turnbull switches been a fluid swim move and a powerful bull rush. Knocks the tackle off their anchor and gets into the backfield. Turnbull does a great job collapsing the pocket to create pressure on the QB. Paired with his relentless pursuit and you’ve got yourself a budding edge rusher! Keep an eye on him as we continue through camp season.
