The Great State of Colorado had some dogs representin’ in Fargo at the NDSU FBS Prospect Camp, and the Skills’ groups were in great hands with Chatfield WR Jaden Zeller. Although lean, Zeller was twitched up and then some, as well as explosive, and his consistent and productive showings during 1v1s helped the rising senior leave a DII offer from Southwest Minnesota State out of the NSIC. Zeller, who ran in the 4.6s in the 40 and 9’7″ in the broad jump, and he was technically-savvy, showed noticeable burst out of his breaks and cuts, owned the top-end speed to win vertically, and was an overall strong route runner who could beat DBs possessing speed, length, physicality, size, or some combination of the tools. Zeller stepped up and created separation versus any and all opponents and defensive backs who came his way in Fargo.

Zeller measures in at 5’9 155-pounds. Last season, he had 47 receptions for 596 yards with 5 touchdowns. Zeller displays good athleticism due to very good speed, change of direction, good jumping, acceleration, and balance. Good release at the line of scrimmage. Fights through the press jam and scrappy DBs to get free. Very good separation quickness. Zeller will use his speed to outrun receivers, or use his quick feet to gain the slight edge. Good ball tracking and catching. Zeller displays good ball adjustment and body control skills. Once the ball is in his hands, he is gone. Uses his home run speed to weave through defenders for a big gain. I’m intrigued to see how Zeller takes the next step in his development.

Zeller measures in at 5’9 155-pounds. This past season for Chatfield, he had 47 receptions for 596 yards and 5 touchdowns. Zeller has good athletic ability due to very good change of direction, speed, good acceleration, and jumping. Good release against both off coverage and the press jam. Very good separation quickness due to his quick feet and athletic ability. He’ll outrun the DBs at the top of the route. Good ball tracking and catching. After the catch, he’ll use his home run speed to run through defenders. I’m excited to see how he does next season, and believe he has potential to reach a thousand yards.

Zeller is a receiver with a lot of speed and has the ability to push the defense vertically. He has strong hands and is a dependable receiver that you can find quickly to move the sticks. He is shifty in the open field and can make the first defender miss, being able to pick up chunk yardage. He was a player already on the radar but will be a candidate for a breakout season.

Zeller is a receiver that can make things happen in the open field and has a knack for making the first defender miss. He has soft hands and can be a possession receiver that can keep the sticks moving. He has the ability to be an explosive receiver and with his speed can be a homerun threat whenever he gets into the open field.
