Reeder brings a polished and dependable skill set to Northern Colorado after committing to stay in state. He finished the season with 1,899 passing yards, 17 touchdowns and eight interceptions, showing steady growth as a decision maker. Reeder operates comfortably from the pocket, displaying good timing, accuracy and an understanding of situational football. He has the ability to push the ball downfield when opportunities present themselves while maintaining control of the offense. His consistency and football IQ project well as he continues to develop at the collegiate level. Reeder may not rely on flash, but his efficiency and command make him a quarterback who can develop into a trusted option for the Bears in the coming seasons.

Reeder showed off against Rock Canyon. The 6’4 220-pound senior went 12/19 for 201 yards, 3 TDs (season high), 0 INTs, 4 rushes for 40 yards. There’s a lot to like about Reeder’s film. He has good athletic ability due to good acceleration, speed, and change of direction. Good throw power paired with very good touch. He has a quick flick release and uses his very good ball placement skills to fit it in tight windows. Reeder has very good pocket mobility. Keeps his eyes downfield and keeps his feet set. Good scramble ability. There are times I’d like to see him trust his pocket more before running for a big gain. He has very strong legs to carry him and defenders on him. I’m impressed with how Reeder stays poised under pressure, and calm in the big moments.

Reeder is a quarterback with undeniable arm talent and all the physical tools to lead the offense. He throws with velocity, touch and timing, showing the ability to make tough throws on the run or stand and deliver under pressure. Despite playing on a team that’s still finding its identity, Reeder continues to shine by extending plays and making next level throws into tight windows. His agility in the pocket combined with high football IQ makes him a dangerous threat when plays break down. With a full offseason to build chemistry and refine his timing with receivers, Reeder is a stock riser who could surprise a lot of people this season.
