is a player that showed that he can do a little bit of everything this past week, helping lead Belfry to a victory over Breathitt County. Woolum showed an impressive combination of speed and elusiveness as a ball carrier, running the ball seven times for 103 yards and two touchdowns. He also finished the game as Belfry’s leading receiver, catching three passes for 145 yards and three touchdowns. Woolum currently holds an offer from Pikeville and I expect more to come his way as he has the potential to be a true impact player at the next level.

from Belfry. Woolum had an outstanding regular season at the safety spot, finishing with 46 total tackles and three interceptions. I was very impressed with Woolum’s ability to provide support against the run. He did a great job of reading the play and coming downhill to fill the lane against the run. Once he got to the ball carrier, he did a great job of running his feet through contact to secure the tackle in the open field. Against the pass, Woolum does a great job of reading the quarterback and breaking on the ball with perfect timing to make a play. Woolum also finished the regular season as Belfry’s leading rusher but I also really liked what he showed on the defensive side of the ball. Caden doesn’t currently hold any offers but I expect some to come his way going into his senior year as he has been receiving interest from college programs and has the talent to play on either side of the ball at the next level.

from Belfry. Woolum put on a show out of the backfield, running the ball 16 times for 313 yards and five touchdowns, helping lead Belfry to a 56-14 victory over Russell. Caden showed the speed to get to the outside and simply run away from the defense down the sideline once he turned the corner. Woolum also showed some physicality in his running, showing the ability to run straight through defenders in the open field. He also showed the elusiveness to make defenders miss in the open field. Caden also looked good on defense at safety, showing the ability to turn and run with receivers in the deep passing game. While he doesn’t currently hold any offers, he is definitely a name to keep an eye on as he has been receiving college interest and has the talent to play somewhere at the next level. Woolum and the Pirates will travel to Ashland Blazer for a second round match up this week.

looks to be one of the next in line of talented Belfry football players. He lines up in the prominent slot back position in Belfry’s famous triple option/wishbone offense. As a ball carrier, Woolum uses his speed to get around the edge and get up the field to run away from the defense. He has also shown the ability to make defenders miss in the open field. On the rare occasion that Belfry decides to throw the ball, Woolum has shown the ability to use his speed to get open and pose as a deep threat. On defense, Woolum lines up at safety and does a great job of filling the lane to provide support against the run. He also does a great job of reading the play in the passing game, breaking at the perfect time to make a play on the ball or at least make a tackle as soon as the ball is caught. Caden doesn’t currently hold any offers but I expect them to come over the next couple seasons as he has been receiving college interest and has the talent to play somewhere at the next level.
