Caden Struth Caden Struth 6'4" | 250 lbs | DL Ernest Manning | 2024 State CAD is someone who based on his senior season tape can be recruited at either defensive tackle or offensive guard. I like Caden more as a guard because despite playing left tackle for the entire season he displayed a pass protection feet of a very high end guard as his pass set is very fluid and angled to what a high end offensive guard does combined with a very good ability to sink his hips to anchor in pass protection. Caden is also a dominant run blocker who displays his high end compete and strength to get downhill quickly on defensive lineman while also pushing downhill to block the second level linebackers. As a defensive line prospect Caden has the ability to play all across the defensive line in multiple fronts due to his strength, 5.22s forty yard dash speed and his high end compete. The one area he can improve on at defensive tackle is playing lower off of the snap as he tends to shoot up and become too upright off of the snap which would lead to him not accessing all of his lower body strength that’s needed of a dominant defensive lineman, on top of being susceptible to higher level offensive lineman being able to get underneath him and just control him to open up running lanes. With all of that said Caden is someone who should heavily recruited at the defensive lineman position as his upside his very high but I believe his upside is even higher as an offensive guard at the college level.
