He has also shown the speed to run away from the defense on long runs. Lawson has also caught eight passes for 117 yards and a touchdown, and recorded 26 tackles this season. Caden and the Yellowjackets will be looking to continue their undefeated season against Hazard this week.

Last year Lawson orchestrated one of the most productive seasons in recent memory, as he accumulated over 2,500 yards of total offense en route to his second straight Regional Player of the Year award. Speedy and versatile, he also lined up out at Wide Receiver at times, totaling 46 touchdowns. No matter where he’s lined up, Lawson possesses that “make you miss” ability and is truly a threat to take it to the house at any time. In my opinion, he’s more of an all-around athlete due to his size and versatility. As he matures physically, I can see him being utilized more in space to limit contact and allow him to get going.

Lawson is extremely quick, able to slip through seams before turning on the jets. If you don’t get a hand on him early, he can make you pay in both the run and passing game. His acceleration in and out of cuts sets him apart from the pack.
