It takes a special talent and the right situation for an underclassman to play both ways on varsity, but if any of these kids in today’s article is going to do it Brock is that kid. He is one of those athletes that are easy to scout. His frame is further developed that rest of the field. His 6’2″ 180 lbs frame looks almost out of place. His body control and awareness of how to move himself to be successful is ahead of the curve. The pure athleticism he has while roaming the field at safety or getting behind his CB on deep passes looks effortless at the lower level. Between his ball skills, size, and range/speed I’m not sure if he fits better at safety or WR and I believe we will see him on varsity at one of those spots this fall. The question is do we see him at both positions. I’m excited to find out and next level recruiters should keep an eye on him.

The path is there for Brock to step into a varsity role on both sides of the ball as some of the top receiving leaders and PBU/INT leaders are graduating this June. Brock will be one of the top athletes in those position groups. With his instincts and budding football IQ we could see Brock step up and be a big impact in coverage. He made several highlight reel plays in zone coverage. I can easily see him at safety, reading the QB and jumping routes. I can also see Brock winning with his speed out wide on offense. Tremper needs an athlete to breakout in the passing game and I believe he has the twitchy athleticism to consistently get open. I’m expecting a big year from the 2027.

We close out our Top 10 coverage with a look at the WR/DB out of Kenosha Tremper. On defense Brock thrives in zone coverage. He has a great combination of speed and instincts that allow him to always be around the ball in the passing game. He is able to attack out of his backpedal and can flip his hips and run smoothly. At WR Brock seems to win with his pure athleticism. When they want to stretch the field Baldwin has the speed to get past the CB and run under the ball. He also thrives in the short game with his acceleration out of breaks. That burst opens up all the space needed of this QB to target. The kid has the natural hands needed to make the tough catches too. Brock has the physical and mental tools that put him on the path towards being a next level recruit.
