Expert Analysis
Jordan Reyes | Prep Redzone Scout
Wilkerson took a clear step forward this season and earned a spot inside the top 100 overall. Brings a strong skillset and fluid athleticism to the position. Good natural coverage ability showing he can mirror receivers and stay connected throughout the route. Comfortable playing on an island, showing the patience and disciplined footwork to be effective in a variety of coverage schemes. Displays great awareness with strong ball skills and timing. Competes at the catch point and limits separation downfield. Transitions smoothly out of his pedal and uses good change of direction to close when the ball is in the air. Comes downhill aggressively in run support showing toughness and reliable tackling on the perimeter. Trending in the right direction and is one to watch going into the offseason.

is looking to prove why he is one of the best cornerbacks in the entire state this upcoming season. In his sophomore season, he had 23 total tackles, 16 of those as solo tackles, 1 TFL, 3 INTs and 7 pass deflections. Mainly playing at the right side cornerback position, he showcases terrific mobility and change of direction to move around the field swiftly. He has marvelous technique, never out of position and always trailing from the hip pocket of the receiver. When the ball is in the air, he has no problem displaying outstanding leaping ability and snagging the ball out of the air like he is the receiver for the turnover. Wilkerson is a dynamic, playmaking cornerback built for the spotlight who is ready to take his game to an elite level this next season.

Insane amount of ball skills in both the secondary and as a wide receiver. Didn’t get a lot of burn on offense this past season, but can easily play there. Size is the question right now.
