Howard is an exciting DB coming out of Smoky Hill. My fellow scout Nate Kue did an evaluation on him a couple weeks ago, that you can view here. Measuring in at 5’10 155-pounds, the CB had 28 total tackles (15 solo, 13 assisted), and 2 INT on the season. He also got work as a kicker with 23 kickoffs for 947 yards , and 7/7 on PATs. He has good athletic ability due to very good acceleration, jumping, good speed, and change of direction. He stays physical jamming the receiver and re-routing during the route. Very smooth and controlled back pedal. Very good man coverage staying stride for stride, and using his good timing to create pass breakups. Very good closing quickness. Good zone coverage. Howard is a stout tackler as well, not being afraid of contact. He has good leg power as well to launch the ball downfield as well.
