Humpherys was the best safety in Northern Virginia the past two seasons, you can make a case for him to be an all-state selection as well. Between Division 2 schools and the FCS ranks, expect more offers to come in soon for Humpherys. He picked up an offer late last week from Emory and Henry and more are sure to follow before the holidays.

Had to see him up close to see what the hype was about and he certainly proved it. Humpherys impact is felt early and often at both safety and receiver the kid is a force. On Friday night he made an acrobatic play leaping into the endzone on the extra point try which would give the Hornets a lead they would not let go off.

The reason being is that Humpherys and the Coach Richards defense is one of the best in the state and the shut down Marshall the rest of the way. Humpherys himself had two fourth down stops including one right before halftime. He also had a couple of receptions to add on in his big night and was at James Madison the very next day.

The Division 1 prospect is having a stellar senior season both at safety and at receiver. I like when the Hornets use him on offense more, he is dynamic with the ball in his hands. I would anticipate a few short quick passes to him early so Herndon can avoid Marshall’s pass rush. If Callow can find him early this contest will go a long way. Humpherys is a division 1 football player at free safety in my opinion and he just picked up an offer from Marist College. There should be more offers coming as the season approaches its end, he is a FBS level talent.

Brayden Humphreys is and already has been a star for the Herndon Hornets defense it was only a matter of time before FCS schools starting noticing. A ball hawking safety Humpherys has the size, speed and range to play nickel corner at the next level too, he is all over the field. Picking up offers most recently from Georgetown and the University of Pennsylvania he is due for several more. Particularly with summer camps getting underway I would expect him to have close to 10 FCS offers before week 1.
