Early in his career, Braxton was a key contributor on varsity at the safety position. As his career has gone on we have seen him also make plays at WR along with his DB play. Starting on the offensive side of the ball. I really like the physicality that Braxton plays with. At the catch we see strong hands to hang on through traffic and also be able to pull it away from DBs trying to rip it out. After the catch the senior is a tough runner who forces defenses to gang tackle him. He is also a smooth route runner who can create and keep separation from DBs. On defense we see Braxton in the box or on the edge pretty often. He is a nice chess piece that you can use to lock down the edge, vs the QB, or play out in the flats zone where he can also pressure the QB if they roll to his side and he doesn’t have a defender to guard. The safety has range to play out in space and also the quickness to slice through the front seven to make tackles without getting blocked by offensive linemen. The versatile senior is one of the top available players. Check out the tape.
