About Benet

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Good blocker for my running back willing to make a good running path, I don't want my running back to get touched if I can take the block on. I also play linebacker where I'm quick the ball and willing to hit the ball carrier or take on blocks allowing other to make the tackle.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

My mentality every week is that lifting and practicing hard will physically prepare me for our next opponents. When the physical aspect is set aside, I think to myself that I can always become better and that I'm playing a faceless opponent.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I have been involved in science Olympiad and placed at state. I have also been a part of acalympics some years and wrestling.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

One of the qualities I've developed from playing on varsity is setting the standard every week. I've also learned to be more vocal and coachable with coaches and teammates over the years. Somethings I do in the community is mow lawn for my church during the summer or people that need it. I also come into pee wee wrestling practice sometimes and help the kids.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I have faced challenges in my life from on the field to off. Something off the field I've learned in my life from my mom passing away is that things will get thrown your way and it's up to you how you're going to handle them and move on. Some challenges I've faced on the field is going from d line to mlb but by going to camps and listening to my coaches I feel like I have adapted very well.

A newer name to my 2027 radar at linebacker this week is Ellendale-Edgeley-Kulm’s Benet Giesler Benet Giesler Benet Giesler 5'11" | 200 lbs | LB/RB Ellendale/Edgeley/Kulm | 2027 State ND . What popped out right away when I rolled Benet’s tape, was his short-area vison as this kid will get to the ball to stop the run early or slow down the pass-catcher around the edges. The now 5’11 200 pounder also gives off the thumper type of linebacker that you don’t want to meet in the middle of the A-gap due to the physicality you see on his tackles. This applies as well at fullback, as Benet gets ahead of his running back and laid a crack on his early game tape just in time for his RB to find the end zone. Yet another 2027 linebacker from EEK that I will continue to track in his junior season.
