Ben Hambelton is one of the big dawgs in the trenches out of New England’s 2030 class. He is a dude out of the trenches from the offensive and defensive sides of the ball, and he makes plays on both ends while impacting his team at a high level! He is going to tear it up at the “RIZE” event in New Jersey and it will be interesting to see all of the great things he can and will do against other top-notch competition at his position. This is a great opportunity for each of these stud athletes and it’s the big stage that I believe Hambleton will shine on!

Ben Hambleton was one of the most technically sound offensive linemen at the recent Prep Red Zone NEXT showcase. While not the tallest or longest tackle prospect in attendance, the 6’2″, 250-pound lineman consistently outperformed expectations with his polish, footwork, and competitive demeanor. Hambleton looks like a player who has been well-coached at the high school level. His posture, pad level, and body control are advanced for his age/class. He processes information quickly and rarely appears overmatched in individual drills. Hambleton possesses quick, active feet for a player his size. He showed the ability to reset his base quickly in pass protection drills and maintained excellent lateral mobility when asked to reach or climb to the second level. His feet rarely stop moving, which allowed him to stay engaged through the whistle. Hambleton uses his hands extremely well – active, violent, and accurate. He consistently won the initial hand fight, kept defenders at bay with good extension, and mirrored rushers effectively. His punch timing and hand placement were among the cleaner reps seen during the 1-on-1 sessions. Hambleton plays with a naturally wide, stable base, which gives him a strong anchor and power through his hips. He moves his feet well on combo blocks and drive blocks, showing the ability to create movement off the ball. He understands angles and leverage, consistently finishing blocks with good effort.
