About Austin

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I feel like I have the ability to read defenses and use blockers effectively, which allows me to consistently gain yardage. I feel like my vision and knowledge of the game allows me to capitalize on what the defense gives me. Recently, my speed has improved, and I believe that it will improve through continued hard work.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I have a driven mentality and try to have exceptional work. I am committed to constantly improving my mental and physical abilities and overall understanding of the game. I strive to be a leader and try to inspire those around me with my dedication, focus, and team-first mindset. I believe that I will be a valuable asset and have the potential to grow into a key leader at the collegiate

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

In my experiences as a student-athlete, I have developed key skills and qualities. My leadership on the field, as a team captain, has taught me the importance of guiding and motivating others, My strong sense of teamwork, understanding that success comes from working together and supporting teammates. My involvement in community service has helped cultivate empath and responsibility

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Two years ago, I was at a low point academically and athletically. I had to make a hard decision to move back in with my father, which turned out to be a pivotal moment of personal growth. I had to make mature decisions about my future, prioritizing my academic and athletic success over other self-indulgence. This decision led to personal growth, a sense of responsibility and self-awareness.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college that balances academics and athletics. I want to find a program that can continue to develop my skills on the field that values hard work, leadership and growth potential. A supportive environment with a focus on student-athlete development and a school that offers resources for personal growth and academic success.
